MISE EN CIRCULATION DU NOUVEAU BILLET DE 20 EUROS

L’Eurosystème a mis en circulation le nouveau billet de 20 euros le 25 novembre 2015. Le graphisme a été repensé et certains signes de sécurité ont été perfectionnés, tels que la « fenêtre portrait », afin de rendre le billet encore plus sûr.

Pour marquer l’occasion et attirer l’attention sur le nouveau billet, un concours destiné aux enfants – Euro Run – est organisé du 25 novembre 2015 au 25 février 2016. En outre, une vidéo intitulée « Découvrez le nouveau billet de 20 euros » est proposée en 23 langues.

1. Quand le nouveau billet a-t-il été mis en circulation et où puis-je le trouver ?
Le nouveau billet de 20 euros a été mis en circulation le 25 novembre 2015 et sera progressivement disponible dans les GAB, les banques et les commerces.

 
 
2. Pourquoi un nouveau billet de 20 euros ?
Le nouveau billet ainsi que les autres billets de la série « Europe » sont introduits afin d’assurer une meilleure protection de la monnaie contre la contrefaçon en incorporant des signes de sécurité améliorés. Le nouveau billet de 20 euros, par exemple, contient une fenêtre portrait. En regardant le billet par transparence, la fenêtre située dans la partie supérieure de l’hologramme devient transparente et fait apparaître un portrait d’Europe, visible sur les deux faces du billet.

 
3. Combien de nouveaux billets de 20 euros ont été imprimés ?
Plus de 4,3 milliards.

 
  
 4. Puis-je toujours utiliser l’ancien billet de 20 euros ?
Oui, vous pouvez utiliser l’ancien billet de 20 euros parallèlement au nouveau. Les anciens billets seront retirés progressivement de la circulation, mais ne perdront pas leur valeur ; ils pourront être échangés aux guichets des banques centrales nationales sans limite de temps.

 
  
5. Comment savoir si mon billet de 20 euros est authentique ?
Vous pouvez vérifier l’authenticité du billet en utilisant la méthode consistant à « toucher, regarder, incliner ». Aucun appareil n’est nécessaire. Pour en savoir plus, cliquez ici.

LETTER OF INTENT

We wish to use the electronic media and/or print media produced by the European Central Bank (ECB) to inform others. We declare that:

6. If we use electronic media online, we will include a link to www.new-euro-banknotes.eu and we will inform the ECB of the material used and where it has been used. We will forward the links.
7. We understand that stocks of ECB materials for distribution are limited. We will inform the ECB of the number of copies distributed, the means of distribution as well as the target groups.
On behalf of the company/institution mentioned above, we declare that we will refrain from using any materials either in printed or electronic form provided by the ECB until our membership of the Partnership Programme has been confirmed.
We will be liable for any damages incurred by the ECB should we not act in accordance with this Letter of Intent. We also understand that the ECB reserves the right to terminate our membership at any time.
